Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed and Sahibzada Farhan have registered impressive gains in the latest ICC T20I player rankings, reflecting their strong performances in the ongoing ACC Men’s T20 Asia Cup 2025.

Mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed made the biggest leap, surging 12 places to break into the top five for the first time in his career. His consistent wicket-taking spells have placed him among the world’s elite T20 bowlers.

In the batting charts, Sahibzada Farhan rose 31 spots to 24th position with 589 points, following his crucial knock of 58 runs against India in the Super Four clash.

Other Pakistani batters also made strides, with skipper Salman Ali Agha and opener Fakhar Zaman climbing three places each to 64th and 66th respectively.

Meanwhile, senior duo Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan continued to slide down the rankings, having not featured in T20Is since 2024. Babar dropped nine places to 35th, while Rizwan slipped five spots to 38th.
Struggling youngster Saim Ayub fell eight places to 55th, Hasan Nawaz dropped 11 spots to 58th, and Mohammad Haris slid one place to 90th.

On the global front, India’s Abhishek Sharma retained his position as the world’s No. 1 T20I batter, followed by England’s Phil Salt in second. Tilak Varma leapfrogged Jos Buttler to move into third, pushing Buttler to fourth with 703 points.

Among bowlers, Pakistan’s pace duo Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf rose to 25th and 28th respectively after impactful spells. But others struggled — Sufiyan Muqeem slipped three places to 14th, Mohammad Nawaz tumbled 13 spots to 46th, and Abbas Afridi dropped to 44th.
Globally, India’s Varun Chakaravarthy continues as the No. 1 T20I bowler, followed by New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy and West Indies’ Akeal Hosein.
