The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that Bangladesh will tour Pakistan in May for a high-stakes five-match T20I series, replacing the originally scheduled three ODIs and three T20Is. The decision was made in consultation with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to prioritize T20 preparations ahead of next year’s ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.

The series will kick off in Faisalabad’s Iqbal Stadium on 25 May, marking the venue’s return to international cricket after a 17-year absence. The historic ground, which last hosted an ODI between Pakistan and Bangladesh in 2008, will stage the first two matches before the action shifts to Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium for the remaining three fixtures.

Series Schedule:

  • 25 May – 1st T20I (Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad – 8 PM)

  • 27 May – 2nd T20I (Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad – 8 PM)

  • 30 May – 3rd T20I (Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore – 8 PM)

  • 1 June – 4th T20I (Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore – 8 PM)

  • 3 June – 5th T20I (Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore – 8 PM)

The Bangladesh squad will arrive in Pakistan on 21 May and train at the Iqbal Stadium ahead of the series. With both teams eyeing the 2026 T20 World Cup, this bilateral contest promises intense competition as they fine-tune their squads.

Cricket fans can expect thrilling night matches, with all games starting at 8 PM (PST).
