As part of its 50-Year Strategic Intent of Sustainability & Environmental Leadership, Beaconhouse, in collaboration with WWF-Pakistan, successfully organised Cyclathon 2025, a large-scale community cycling event held simultaneously in Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad.
The initiative brought together students, parents, and employees of both organisations in a vibrant show of solidarity aimed at promoting sustainable transport, improving air quality, and advocating for greener urban living.
With over 800 participants cycling across the three major cities, Cyclathon 2025 became a powerful symbol of collective action against climate change. Covering a combined distance of 28 kilometres, the event highlighted the growing importance of community-driven environmental initiatives in shaping healthier lifestyles and fostering eco-friendly practices.
Pakistan’s urban centres continue to face worsening air quality, and as one of the world’s most climate-vulnerable countries, such initiatives hold crucial significance. Cyclathon 2025 not only underscored the urgency of environmental awareness but also served as a call to action for sustainable urban mobility.
The collaboration between Beaconhouse and WWF-Pakistan represents a significant milestone in community-led climate action. Building on the success of Cyclathon 2025, both organisations have reaffirmed their shared commitment to fostering a sustainable, healthy, and environmentally conscious future for Pakistan.
