Pakistan have been placed in Group A alongside defending champions India, Qualifier 1 and Qualifier 3. Group B includes Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Qualifier 2 and Sri Lanka. Pakistan reached the semi-finals in the previous edition, where they were defeated by Bangladesh.
Pakistan will open their campaign on 12 December against Qualifier 3 at The Sevens Stadium. They will play arch-rivals India on 14 December at the ICC Academy Ground, before completing their group fixtures against Qualifier 1 on 16 December at the same venue. The semi-finals are scheduled for 19 December, while the final will take place on 21 December.
Eighteen-year-old Farhan Yousaf featured in last year’s Asia Cup and recently captained Lahore Region Whites in the National Men’s U19 Cup, scoring 369 runs in seven matches, including a century and two half-centuries.
