Foreign Player Registration Opens for Expanded PSL 11

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially opened the foreign player registration window for the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), marking the beginning of what is set to be the league’s biggest and most expansive season to date.

As the PSL enters a historic new phase, international cricketers from across the globe have been invited to register for participation in the tournament. The 11th edition will feature a significant structural expansion, with the addition of two new franchises increasing the number of teams from six to eight. This expansion is expected to create a greater number of roster spots and fresh opportunities for overseas players to be part of one of the world’s premier T20 leagues.

The PCB has encouraged both registered player agents and independent international players to complete their registration process before the deadline of 20 January 2026 in order to be included in the official player pool for the upcoming season. Registration can be completed through the designated online portal made available by the board.

Launched in 2016, the  PSL has steadily grown into a globally recognised cricketing brand, known for its competitive balance, strong fan following, and role in developing elite international and domestic talent. The league’s continued expansion reflects its rising commercial value and growing international appeal.

Ahead of the new season, the PCB will also conduct the New Teams Auction on 8 January 2026 in Islamabad, where franchise rights for the two additional teams will be offered. The auction will be broadcast live, ensuring transparency and global visibility for prospective investors and cricket fans alike.

The PSL 11 is scheduled to be played from 26 March to 3 May 2026, promising a longer and more competitive tournament window. With eight teams now set to compete, the upcoming season is expected to deliver heightened excitement, broader international participation, and a fresh chapter in the league’s evolution.

The opening of the foreign player registration window represents a key milestone in the build-up to PSL 11, reinforcing the PCB’s commitment to positioning the league among the world’s leading T20 competitions.
