Global Icons Join Pro10’s Revolutionary T10 League Aimed at Developing Cricket in Southeast Asia & Europe

Cricket took a bold leap into new territory today with the launch of Pro10, an ambitious multi-continental T10 league led by former India head coach Ravi Shastri and sports entrepreneur Neeraj Sareen. Positioned as a transformative project aimed at reshaping cricket’s global footprint, the league will introduce professionally structured T10 cricket to Southeast Asia and Europe — regions long identified as high-potential, underserved cricket markets.

The inaugural season will run from 30 January to 4 February 2026 at Thailand’s state-of-the-art Terd Thai Cricket Ground, featuring five franchise teams bolstered by a star-studded cast of international players. Among them is Australian great David Warner, alongside explosive hitters Chris Lynn and George Munsey. Adding to the league’s prestige, West Indies legend Sir Vivian Richards has been appointed Pro10 Thailand Ambassador, underlining the initiative’s commitment to meaningful development in non-traditional cricket territories.

At the heart of the Pro10 concept is a dual mission: to bring world-class T10 entertainment to new audiences, and to create a sustainable structure that accelerates local player development. The league aims to operate across Thailand, Bulgaria, and Poland, providing local talent in these emerging regions access to top-tier coaching, international exposure, and competitive cricket environments they have never previously enjoyed.

Sir Viv Richards, speaking about the league’s vision, noted that Pro10 is not just expanding cricket’s geography but reshaping its future. “Cricket grows strongest when it reaches new people and new communities. Pro10 is doing exactly that by giving Thailand, Bulgaria, and Poland a platform to shine. I am delighted to help guide this journey and to see local talent gain exposure to international players and coaches. This is how the game expands, and this is where the future lies.”

Ravi Shastri described Pro10 as cricket’s “next evolution,” combining short-format entertainment with long-term growth. “Pro10 represents cricket’s next evolution: explosive T10 excitement with genuine grassroots development. We’re creating sustainable ecosystems to develop stars from Thailand, Bulgaria, Poland, and beyond. Having Sir Viv Richards serving as Pro10 Thailand ambassador and players like David Warner demonstrates the calibre we’re building. The T10 format is perfect for today’s world, showcasing cricket’s incredible global potential.”

Founder and CEO Neeraj Sareen emphasised the league’s commitment to community-driven growth and regional sustainability, noting that Pro10 is designed as a long-term ecosystem rather than a short-lived commercial venture. “Pro10 is built from the ground up with sustainability, local talent development, and world-class entertainment. We’re partnering with communities, cricket boards, and institutions to create something truly special. Securing Sir Viv Richards as Pro10 Thailand ambassador testifies to our vision. With Ravi’s cricket expertise, Roshan Mahanama and Aaron Vedhasinghe’s operational brilliance, we’re building cricket’s future, not just hosting matches.”

With its marquee ambassadors, global stars, and development-first philosophy, Pro10 stands poised to redefine how cricket grows beyond its traditional borders — signalling a new era where emerging nations play a central role in the sport’s global expansion.
