Mohammad Haris produced a scintillating unbeaten 107 to script Pakistan’s fifth-highest successful T20I chase, as the hosts sealed a seven-wicket win over Bangladesh in the third and final T20I at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on Sunday night.
Chasing 197, Pakistan reached the target in 17.2 overs, completing a 3–0 series sweep. Haris’ century came off 45 balls — the second-fastest T20I ton for Pakistan — and included a commanding display of strokeplay that featured boundaries across the park. He remained unbeaten on 107 off 46 balls.
After the early dismissal of Sahibzada Farhan, Haris and Saim Ayub (45 off 29) rebuilt with a brisk 92-run partnership in just 53 deliveries. Hasan Nawaz added a quickfire 26 off 15 before Salman Ali Agha (15* off 12) closed out the match with Haris, who reached his hundred in the 17th over.
Earlier, Bangladesh posted their highest total of the series, 196 for 6, on the back of a 110-run opening stand between Parvez Hossain Emon (66 off 34) and Tanzid Hasan (42 off 32). Despite the strong platform, Pakistan pulled things back with timely breakthroughs, led by Mohammad Abbas Afridi (2 for 26) and Hasan Ali (2 for 38).
Haris, who also finished as the leading run-scorer of the series with 179 runs and five dismissals, was named both Player of the Match and Player of the Series.
