In a landmark development for the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL), Karachi Kings owner Salman Iqbal has officially accepted the Pakistan Cricket Board’s renewal offer, securing the franchise rights for the next decade. The decision fortifies the continued presence of one of the league’s most influential teams as the PSL enters a new era of expansion and commercial maturity.
The renewal underscores a journey that began in 2015 when Salman Iqbal made a bold and unprecedented move to acquire the PSL’s most expensive franchise at a time when international cricket in Pakistan had come to a halt.
