LAAM Fashion Week (LFW) — Pakistan’s first runway-to-e-tail fashion platform — marked a major milestone today with its first leadership event, held at the LAAM headquarters in Lahore. Conceived as the official introduction to the LFW ecosystem, the gathering brought together top designers, brand leaders, media professionals, and industry stakeholders for an afternoon centered on the future of fashion, technology, and global commerce.
The event highlighted LFW’s core mission: to redefine Pakistan’s fashion landscape through a unified creative platform, unparalleled global reach, and a technology-powered retail model that makes Pakistani fashion instantly discoverable and shoppable worldwide.
At the heart of the session was a dynamic panel discussion featuring LAAM and LFW Co-Founders Amir Iqbal and Arif Iqbal, Design651 CEO and LFW Co-Founder Saad Ali, LFW Creative Leadership HSY and Maheen Kardar, and moderated by Selina Rashid, CEO of Lotus PR Global. Together, they outlined LFW’s three foundational pillars:
LFW will showcase the strongest and most diverse expressions of Pakistani design — from luxury maisons and couture ateliers to high-street labels, textile giants, and breakthrough emerging talent. The platform aims to serve as the first truly comprehensive representation of Pakistani fashion under one umbrella.
With LAAM already serving customers in 120+ countries and the platform’s combined potential access to over 500 million fashion and lifestyle consumers, including 6 million active fashion buyers, LFW is positioned as Pakistan’s first fashion showcase built from the start for global discovery, global engagement, and global buyability.
LFW’s revolutionary runway-to-e-tail model transforms fashion week visibility into tangible, long-tail commercial impact. Every runway look will be photographed, catalogued, priced, and made instantly available for purchase online — finally bridging the gap between fashion week creativity and real-time consumer conversion.
Collectively, the panel explored how a digitally powered, data-driven fashion ecosystem can usher in Pakistan’s next era — one where creativity scales beyond borders, and fashion becomes both a cultural force and a global business engine.
Speaking at the event, Amir Iqbal, Co-Founder & COO of LAAM, said:
“We see millions of customers discovering and buying South Asian fashion every month from more than 120 countries. With LFW, we are connecting that global demand directly to the runway, ensuring creativity meets the consumer everywhere.”
Arif Iqbal, Co-Founder & CEO of LAAM, added:
“Technology is the backbone of everything we are building — from AI-driven personalization to our real-time runway-to-e-tail model. Our goal is simple: to make every designer discoverable, every look shoppable, and every collection deliverable anywhere in the world.”
Saad Ali, CEO & Founder of Design651 and Co-Founder of LFW, reflected on the industry’s evolution:
“Over two decades, Pakistan has seen the highs, plateaus, and reinventions of fashion platforms. LFW represents the next evolution — a model that respects the craft, acknowledges the past, and answers the future.”
The networking event marks the first major public milestone in the lead-up to LFW’s debut edition, scheduled for January 2026 in Lahore. Featuring curated showcases across luxury, couture, textile, high street, and emerging designers, LFW aims to reposition Pakistani fashion on the global stage through a model that is digital, scalable, inclusive, and export-oriented.
LFW is a collaboration between LAAM and Design651, with HSY as Event Director, Nabila and N-Gents as Official Style Partners, Maheen Kardar as Designer Experience Director, and Lotus as the Strategic Communications Partner.
