Pakistan Shaheens will embark on an exciting tour to Darwin, Australia, next month to participate in the Top End T20 Series, a competitive 11-team tournament scheduled from 14 to 24 August 2025. The Pakistan Cricket Board has confirmed a 15-member squad, with Muhammad Irfan Khan named captain of the Shaheens side.
The 22-year-old right-handed middle-order batter, who has represented Pakistan in nine ODIs and 14 T20Is, will lead a squad that includes several internationally capped players and promising domestic performers.
The Shaheens will kick off their campaign with a high-profile fixture against Bangladesh ‘A’ on 14 August at TIO Stadium, Darwin, with the match scheduled to start at 7pm local time. They will play a total of six group-stage matches, including contests against domestic Australian sides and Nepal, before the semi-finals and final take place on 24 August.
The squad includes Haider Ali (35 T20Is, 2 ODIs), Abdul Samad (5 T20Is), Faisal Akram (3 ODIs), Mubasir Khan (1 T20I), and Ahmed Daniyal and Mohammad Salman Mirza, who are currently part of Pakistan’s T20I squad for the upcoming Bangladesh series.
Also making a mark in the selection is Khawaja Mohammad Nafay, whose recent performances at the National Cricket Academy and HBL PSL X have drawn attention. He will share wicketkeeping duties with Muhammad Ghazi Ghori. The bowling attack features Ubaid Shah, Salman Mirza, and Mehran Mumtaz, while Maaz Sadaqat, Shahid Aziz, and Yasir Khan add depth to the batting unit.

Preparation Camp
Details regarding the preparatory training camp for the Darwin-bound squad will be shared by the PCB in the coming days. The series is expected to provide valuable international exposure to Pakistan’s emerging cricketers and act as a proving ground for future national selections.
With a balanced squad combining youth, experience, and depth across all departments, the Shaheens will aim to make a strong statement in Australia and return with both performances and experience under their belt.
