Pakistan announce squads for UAE tri-series and Asia Cup 2025

The Men’s National Selection Committee has unveiled Pakistan’s 17-member squad for the upcoming T20I tri-series and the Asia Cup, both scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates from 29 August to 28 September.

The tri-series, featuring Afghanistan, Pakistan, and hosts UAE, will be contested at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium between 29 August and 7 September. Following the series, the ACC Asia Cup 2025, an eight-team T20I tournament, will be staged in Abu Dhabi and Dubai from 9 to 28 September. Pakistan have been placed in Group A alongside India, Oman, and UAE.

Salman Ali Agha will lead the national side, with wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Haris named as part of the squad. The squad sees a mix of experience and fresh talent, including Shaheen Shah Afridi, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, and Hasan Ali, alongside emerging names such as Hasan Nawaz, Salman Mirza, and Sufyan Moqim.

Salman Ali Agha (captain), Abrar Ahmed, Faheem Ashraf, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, Hasan Ali, Hasan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Haris (wk), Mohammad Nawaz, Mohammad Wasim Jnr, Sahibzada Farhan, Saim Ayub, Salman Mirza, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Sufyan Moqim.
