Pakistan reached to 8th position in ODI rankings

 

Pakistan has reached the eighth position in the ICC ODI Team Rankings after winning a series against Sri Lanka by 3-2 in the five-match series, which concluded in Hambantota on Sunday. The Pakistan team has progressed to 90 points.

Mohammad Hafeez was the highest run maker in the series with a total of 273 runs in five games. This has put him to 29th spot in the ICC Player Rankings for ODI Batsmen. Ahmed Shehzad gained the 30th spot, and skipper Azhar Ali is now in his career-high 42nd position.

In the ICC Players Rankings for ODI Bowlers, Pakistan’s Mohammad Irfan has improved his ranking by a place and is now level with Mohammad Hafeez in 16th place. Yasir Shah, who has jumped 44 places to a career high of 97th.
