The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has awarded central contracts to 30 male cricketers for the 2025–26 international season, effective from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2026. The list reflects the Board’s commitment to recognising performances while ensuring depth and future development.
This year’s contracts have been distributed equally across Categories B, C and D with ten players in each. Notably, no player has been placed in Category A.
Compared to last year’s pool of 27, the 2025–26 roster has been expanded to 30, including 12 fresh additions: Ahmed Daniyal, Faheem Ashraf, Hasan Ali, Hasan Nawaz, Hussain Talat, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Abbas, Mohammad Haris, Mohammad Nawaz, Sahibzada Farhan, Salman Mirza and Sufyan Moqim.
Five players have been promoted owing to their performances: Abrar Ahmed, Haris Rauf, Saim Ayub, Salman Ali Agha and Shadab Khan – all moving from Category C to Category B.
Nine players have retained their previous positions, including Abdullah Shafique (Category C), Khurram Shahzad, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Wasim Jnr (all in Category D), Noman Ali, Sajid Khan, Saud Shakeel (all in Category C) and Shaheen Shah Afridi (Category B).
On the other hand, eight players have missed out on contracts this year: Aamir Jamal, Haseebullah, Kamran Ghulam, Mir Hamza, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Huraira, Muhammad Irfan Khan and Usman Khan (all previously in Category D).
