Salman Ali Agha to Lead Pakistan in T20Is Against Bangladesh as Squad Announced for Away Series

The Men’s National Selection Committee has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Bangladesh, set to be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka from 20 to 24 July 2025.

Salman Ali Agha will continue as captain, having recently led the side in the home series against Bangladesh. The upcoming series provides a key opportunity for several promising players to solidify their spots in Pakistan’s white-ball setup as the team continues to build depth ahead of major assignments, including the T20 World Cup 2026.

The squad features a mix of emerging and experienced players. Explosive batters like Mohammad Haris, Hassan Nawaz, and Saim Ayub are expected to bolster the top and middle order, while Fakhar Zaman adds firepower and experience.

The fast-bowling department includes Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Ahmed Daniyal, and Salman Mirza, all of whom impressed in the recent domestic season and  PSL X. Faheem Ashraf provides all-around stability.

Abrar Ahmed and Sufyan Moqim offer spin variety, alongside all-rounders Mohammad Nawaz and Khushdil Shah.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also confirmed that the squad for the white-ball series against the West Indies will be announced separately in due course.

This tour to Bangladesh marks an important test for Pakistan’s white-ball bench strength, particularly under the guidance of head coach Mike Hesson, as the team prepares for an intense international season ahead.
