Samaa TV anchor Mehak Aslam has come forward with a disturbing account of cyber harassment and blackmail, revealing that her personal images are being stolen and digitally manipulated into fake and obscene content. In a statement shared on her social media, Aslam said the fabricated material is being circulated through multiple fake accounts, which are also being used to threaten and harass her by contacting her family, relatives, and friends.
Clarifying the situation, Aslam stressed that all content being shared under her name is “fake, fabricated, and malicious,” calling the ordeal a serious cybercrime and an act of character assassination. She confirmed that all evidence has been secured and archived, and that cybercrime authorities and legal channels have been engaged.
Aslam further warned that those involved will be traced and dealt with strictly, adding that no warnings will be issued. She urged the public to remain vigilant and advised anyone receiving suspicious material linked to her name or photographs to neither respond nor share it, but to report it to her immediately.
