Test Twenty Partners with CricHeroes as Official Stats Partner for Junior Championship

Test Twenty, cricket’s revolutionary fourth format, has announced a strategic partnership with CricHeroes, the world’s largest grassroots cricket platform, appointing it as the Official Stats Partner for the Junior Test Twenty Championship (JTTC), which is set to make its global debut in 2026.

The collaboration marks a significant milestone in the evolution of youth cricket, combining an innovative competitive format with cutting-edge data infrastructure aimed at transforming talent identification and development at the grassroots level.

Backed by global cricket icons including AB de Villiers, Matthew Hayden, Sir Clive Lloyd, and Harbhajan Singh, Test Twenty introduces an 80-over format that blends the strategic depth of Test cricket with the pace and intensity of T20s. Conceived by sports visionary Gaurav Bahirvani, the format features four innings of 20 overs each, with teams batting and bowling twice in a single-day contest—creating a unique, high-stakes competitive environment.

The Junior Test Twenty Championship has been designed as a global youth platform for players aged 13 to 19 years, featuring six elite franchises, including three from India and three from international markets. With an estimated 25 million young cricketers entering the global ecosystem every year, JTTC aims to establish the world’s largest structured youth talent pipeline, positioning itself as cricket’s equivalent of the NCAA pathway in the United States.

As Official Stats Partner, CricHeroes will play a central role in powering the championship’s digital and analytical backbone. The platform will provide live scoring across trials, regional and global combines, and tournament matches, alongside centralized performance dashboards and digitized player profiles accessible to franchises, coaches, and scouts worldwide. Long-term statistical tracking will ensure transparent, merit-based progression, making JTTC one of the most data-driven youth cricket systems ever created.

Speaking on the partnership, Gaurav Bahirvani, Founder and CEO of Test Twenty, emphasised the role of technology in modern talent discovery. He stated that data is the backbone of identifying and nurturing elite athletes, adding that CricHeroes has already transformed grassroots cricket by giving players a measurable performance identity. He noted that the integration of CricHeroes into JTTC would create the world’s most transparent and merit-driven pathway for young cricketers.

Abhishek Desai, Founder of CricHeroes, echoed these sentiments, describing the Junior Test Twenty Championship as a natural extension of CricHeroes’ mission to elevate grassroots cricket globally. He said the partnership would bring world-class analytics to young players on an unprecedented scale, redefining how cricketing talent is discovered, evaluated, and developed.

With its innovative format, legendary backing, and a robust digital ecosystem, Test Twenty’s Junior Championship represents a bold step toward reshaping youth cricket worldwide. As preparations gather momentum ahead of its 2026 launch, JTTC is positioning itself not merely as a tournament, but as a global platform designed to build the next generation of cricketing stars.
