With a career spanning nearly two decades, senior news anchor Bushra Haq has become a familiar face in Pakistan’s television news landscape. From her beginnings as a weather news presenter to becoming a prime-time news anchor and one of the recognisable faces of leading news channels, Bushra has built a career defined by versatility, experience and a strong on-screen presence.
Bushra began her career in 2007 with Indus Vision, where she started as a weather news presenter. Her association with the channel later expanded beyond news, as she also hosted the popular Tea Time show, giving her an early opportunity to develop her skills as both a news presenter and television host.
In 2011, Bushra joined CNBC Pakistan as a prime-time news anchor, marking an important step forward in her broadcast journalism career. She later joined Express Group’s Time News, where she continued to work as a prime-time news anchor.
Bushra returned to CNBC Pakistan in 2015, bringing with her valuable experience from her time across different media platforms. In 2016, CNBC Pakistan was rebranded as Jaag News, where Bushra continued her journey in television news.
Since 2017, Bushra has been associated with Abbtakk News, where she emerged as one of the channel’s main faces. Her years at Abbtakk further established her as a prominent television news anchor, with her experience covering a wide range of news and current affairs.
In 2019, she joined Bol News, continuing her career at one of Pakistan’s major news networks. She later in 2023, became part of Channel 5, where she most recently served as a news anchor.
Now, Bushra Haq is beginning a new chapter in her career as she joins 365 News.
