LONGi, a global leader in green energy technology, has announced a global partnership with FC Bayern Munich, uniting advanced solar innovation with one of the world’s most successful football clubs. The LONGi FC Bayern Munich partnership was officially unveiled at the Rosewood Hong Kong during the club’s Asia visit and will run through 2028.
The launch event brought together key figures from both organizations, including Zhong Baoshen, Chairman and CEO of LONGi; Rouven Kasper, Board Member for Marketing & Sales at FC Bayern; Charles Jiang, Vice President of LONGi and President of the PV Product Management Center; and FC Bayern legend Roy Makaay.

Built around the theme “POWER ON, GAME ON”, the collaboration connects LONGi’s focus on clean energy with FC Bayern’s expansive global football community. This theme will serve as the central message across future joint campaigns, content, and fan engagement initiatives.
The partnership marks LONGi’s second major move into global sport in 2026, following its partnership with the BMW BERLIN-MARATHON. According to Wood Mackenzie, LONGi is the world’s No.1 solar module manufacturer in 2026.

“FC Bayern and LONGi come from different worlds, but we are driven by the same instinct: keep improving, keep challenging ourselves, and never treat one achievement as the end,” said Zhong Baoshen, Chairman and CEO of LONGi. “Football connects millions of people, and energy touches every one of them.”
Founded in 2000, LONGi has built its reputation on solar technology and continuous innovation. The company’s crystalline silicon-perovskite tandem solar cell has achieved a world-record conversion efficiency of 35.5%, and it has maintained PV Tech’s highest “AAA” bankability rating for 26 consecutive quarters.

Rouven Kasper, Board Member for Marketing & Sales at FC Bayern, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration. “FC Bayern is synonymous with excellence on the pitch. Alongside LONGi, we’re united by a shared drive for excellence and a genuine commitment to building a more sustainable future,” Kasper said. “We look forward to partnering with this global industry leader to keep renewable energy firmly in the spotlight.”
LONGi’s portfolio spans utility-scale power plants, commercial and industrial projects, and residential energy solutions, including its EcoLife home energy series. The company focuses on translating advanced solar technology into dependable solutions for everyday use.

Sustainability will form a core pillar of the LONGi FC Bayern Munich partnership. Through its “Solar for Solar” concept, LONGi is working toward net-zero emissions by 2050, while FC Bayern advances environmental and social responsibility through its “Mitnand” strategy. The partners will explore opportunities to support the club’s sustainability efforts, including potential applications across training facilities and stadium infrastructure.

Further joint initiatives and fan-focused activities will be announced in due course.
