After an impactful 21-month tenure, celebrated news anchor Pakeeza Zahid has officially announced her departure from Geo News. Despite her deep roots in the industry, sources indicate that Pakeeza will now be returning to her previous base in Lahore for her next professional chapter, sparking widespread curiosity regarding her upcoming destination.
Hailing from Sialkot, Pakeeza’s journey in the media began after she earned her degree in Mass Communication from the University of Management and Technology (UMT). She first stepped into the spotlight in 2018 as a news anchor for Star Asia TV, followed by a move to 92 News HD in August 2019. However, it was her transition to Hum News in April 2020 that brought her significant national recognition, establishing her as a rising star in Pakistan’s broadcast landscape.
Following a brief stint at Public News, Pakeeza took a strategic hiatus from the newsroom to focus on a successful career in professional modeling. Her return to journalism in 2022 with Dunya News proved she hadn’t lost her stride, eventually leading to her high-profile move to Geo News in July 2024.
